Access Denied Message
NEWS FLASH 8 JULY 2005: There is now a utility program to set the permissions as described below. See the "Permissions utility" on the downloads page.
SuperTRUMP places files in the SYSTEM32 folder and makes entries to the registry in order to manage the SuperTRUMP software license. Some companies restrict their users from accessing the SYSTEM32 folder and/or the registry. In that case SuperTRUMP will give an ACCESS DENIED message when started.
To solve this problem a system administrator will need to give SuperTRUMP users access to the following files and registry keys.
For stand alone installations the files are located in the c:\windows\system32 or c:\winnt\system32 folder (depending on which version of Windows is installed).
For network installations the files are located in SEC sub-folder of the location where the stw.exe is installed .
Please give the SuperTRUMP user group read, write, create, modify and delete rights to these files or the folder where these files reside:
"SSSETS.STA"
"SSACTS.STC" and/or "SSACT.STC"
"SSDATA.STC"
Please give the SuperTRUMP user group full control to these registry keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
CLSID
