Inserting a DocVariable field code

SuperTRUMP DocVariable codes

To insert a field code in a Word template for use with the export feature in SuperTRUMP, follow these steps:

1. In Word, move the insertion point where you want the field. Then, from the Insert menu, choose Field. This brings up the Field dialog box.
2. Under Categories, select "Document Automation," and under Field names, select "DocVariable."
3. "DOCVARIABLE" will appear in the small text box. Click into the text box, press the End button on your keyboard, type SPACE, and then type the code for the SuperTRUMP datum you wish to insert. For example:
   DOCVARIABLE Quick.TotalAssets
4. Leave Preserve formatting during updates checked.
5. When you are finished Click OK.

Field codes are hidden by default in Word. To show (or hide) field codes follow these steps:

1. From the Tools menu, choose Options. This brings up the Options dialog box.
2. Click on the View tab. At the top, under the "Show" heading, click the checkbox labled Field codes.
