Search Path for Data Files
SuperTRUMP (both the desktop and server versions) uses a variety of
data files. It searches for these files in the following locations in
the order shown, using the first copy found:
- A specific location that depends on the file sought.
- The path specified for this file in the [Files] section of the STW.INI
file. The STW.INI file is located in the Windows (or WINNT) directory
- The path indicated by the following entry in the STW.INI file:
[Directories]
DefaultDataDirectory=(folder path name)
- For some files, the current directory in effect when SuperTRUMP was
started.
- The folder where the SuperTRUMP executable file resides. The executable
file might be STW.EXE or STSERVER.DLL or some other EXE or DLL file.
- In most versions of SuperTRUMP, the TEMS subfolder of the folder
where the SuperTRUMP executable file resides.
- The root of the current drive in effect when SuperTRUMP was started.
- In most versions of SuperTRUMP, the REPS subfolder of the folder
where the SuperTRUMP executable file resides.
This information is effective for builds of SuperTRUMP after build number
8918. For earlier builds, the search path is very similar or identical.
